Editors-in-Chief and Editors
We are now looking for 10 students from any schools with passionate enthusiasm on publishing to be part of our Editorial Board 2016 – 2017.
What is Editorial Board?
Students from the 9 local universities and other tertiary schools can become Editors-in-Chief and Editors of all HKFBS publications. HKFBS Editorial Board is the sole department (Sub-committee) and the supreme authority of publications, which aims at producing two regular publications of HKFBS – FEDNEWS and Annual Journal. They provide members with information of our federation, an overview of our functions and a number of interviews with government officials and business elites. These two publications will be delivered to the Advisory Board, Honourable Guests, Sponsors, Member Societies, 15000 members and other supporting organisations.
Key Duties
- Assist in the arrangements and coordination of FEDNEWS 2016 and Annual Journal 2017;
- Edit/proofread manuscripts;
- Liaise with writers, editors and business partners;
- Participate in interviews of important people in Hong Kong;
- Obtain copyright permissions for passages and images;
- Assist in creating promotional materials;
- Provide publication(s) of Hong Kong Federation of Business Students with assistance and administrative support for all publishing, marketing, scheduling and reporting aspects.
Requirements
- Capable to endure workload beginning in May;
- Native Cantonese speaker, written and spoken English;
- Student from the 9 local universities or other tertiary schools, preferably in English language or literature, communication or journalism, or communication design;
- Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Computer literate in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator preferred;
- Team player with can-do attitude and willingness to learn;
