About VCOC

Venture Capital On Campus (VCOC) - Investment Challenge 2024 is the venture capital (VC) themed function designed for undergraduates and postgraduates from all disciplines in Hong Kong. Powered by Hong Kong Federation of Business Students (HKFBS) and HKSTP Capital, we aim to inspire and nurture future venture capitalists via a training bootcamp and an investment case competition.

The training bootcamp will be hosted by esteemed experts and professionals of the Venture Capital industry, which guides students for the indispensable skills and knowledge to work as a venture capitalist, as well as the fundamental discernment on investment analysis and strategic planning. Through engaging in an investment planning as the executive at HKSTP Ventures, participants are given an opportunity to evaluate businesses’ potential growth, analyse investment hypotheses and eventually codify pitch decks to VC investors.

This challenge will equip participants with an overview of the venture capital industry and fundamental analytic skills required by most financial institutions. Participants will get the networking opportunities with professional venture capitalists in HKSTP. Top 3 teams will win a fast track interview for an internship in HKSTP. Certificate of Appreciation upon the completion of event.

Format:	Hybrid (Training Bootcamp: Virtual; Final Presentation: F2F)
Eligibility:	Undergraduates and postgraduates from all disciplines of study from all universities in Hong Kong
Fee:	Free of charge

Event Timeline

Deadline for applications:	February 10, 2024 (Saturday)
Training bootcamp:	February 17, 2024 (Saturday)
Proposal submission deadline:	March 2, 2024 (Saturday)
Result of semi-finalists:	March 11, 2024 (Monday)
Semi final and final:	March 16, 2024 (Saturday)

Rules

• Full-time undergraduates and postgraduates from ANY university in Hong Kong, ANY discipline, and ANY year

• Form a team with 3-5 members

• Each team shall fill in 1 application form ONLY

• It is COMPULSORY for at least half team to attend training bootcamp
