KPMG Business Administration Paper 2012

History

Business Administration Paper (BA Paper) is an annual inter-university business plan writing competition held by Hong Kong Federation of Business Students since 1986. It is a chance to bring the dream business buried in your mind to life.

In the competition, participants will be given chances to:

• equip themselves from the training session
• mingle with business leaders at different events
• be inspired by entrepreneurs and/or executives
• get an internship spot
• present their business to experienced business elites and scholars
• interact with talented business undergraduates from other universities

At the very beginning, BA Paper was carried out in an essay-writing format. In the mid-90's, BA Paper was transformed from an essay-writing competition into a case competition so as to keep our members abreast to the dynamic business environment. Stepping into the 21st century, BA Paper launches training sessions to inspire contestants on related topics to the competition, since then the BA Paper experience is no longer limited to just to compete, but also to self-develop. In 2004, when the best foreign team from Tsinghua University of Mainland China competed with elites in Hong Kong, foreign teams were officially introduced to the competition. Although BA Paper has undergone various stages of evolution, providing a chance of recognition for business students' high quality works has always been our everlasting objective.

In the past 26 years, BA Paper has become one of the most representative competitions among local business undergraduates, which has gained remarkable support from different sectors of business and academics. The competition aims at fostering the interflow of ideas between the academic field and the business field, ultimately enhancing our members' knowledge of the real business environment. By taking students to a larger arena from their routine classroom projects, students have been propelled to think, learn, inspire, and be inspired on a much larger scale.

In its coming 27th year, we will strive to continue the tradition of excellent work.
